"Unless the union is already at the card signing stage when its presence is first detected, local management should resist the temptation “to come out shooting.” Instead, first try to gather as much information as possible about the union. Management meetings should be held with all supervisors to alert them about a possible unionization attempt and to obtain and transmit additional information "Management Labor Attorneys seem to agree that one consideration is a posted notice reminding employees of the company’s position on unions, and/or the dangers of signing a union card.
